Three connected services for higher-risk residential buildings: a resident engagement strategy, person centred fire risk assessments, and building emergency evacuation plans. Delivered together so residents are informed, individual needs are supported, and the evacuation arrangements are clearly defined.
What we do
Resident engagement
Section 91 of the Building Safety Act requires a strategy letting residents aged 16 and over take part in building safety decisions. We build it: what gets shared, what residents are consulted on, how feedback is gathered, accessibility options including other languages, large print, braille and audio, how outcomes are communicated, and how data is handled. Consultations run at least three weeks. Reviewed every two years, and after material alterations or a mandatory occurrence report.
Person centred fire risk assessments
Private assessments for residents who may need support to evacuate, covering health, mobility, cognition and daily routines, individual fire risks, whether they can hear and respond to an alarm, and whether they can self-evacuate. Each produces a tailored action plan and, where required, a written emergency evacuation statement — shared with the Fire and Rescue Service only with explicit consent. Reviewed annually
Building emergency evacuation plans
Building-specific plans covering resident instructions, assembly points, the evacuation strategy and when it applies, escape routes, firefighting access, alarm and suppression arrangements. Validated on site, and linked to the person centred assessments so anyone needing support is accounted for.

Why it matters
These three duties are usually handled by three different people, which is how a resident with mobility needs ends up recorded in an assessment that the evacuation plan never references. Delivered together, the assessment feeds the plan and the plan feeds what the Fire and Rescue Service is handed on arrival.
