A management review complements the legionella risk assessment by auditing the assessment itself and every piece of documentation on site relating to legionella control. Water systems are inspected to confirm that the recommended actions have been implemented fully and effectively, and that nothing new has developed since.
What we do
We fully review the previous risk assessment and any earlier management review to confirm actions have been correctly and effectively implemented. All site documentation relating to legionella control is inspected, including logbooks and written schemes of control. A physical survey then covers the plant in scope: cold water storage tanks, calorifiers, cross plate heat exchangers, water heaters, water softeners and air handling units. Domestic distribution systems are inspected including taps, showers, thermostatic mixing valves, WCs and urinals, with sentinel points and significant-risk areas reported. Where a property has evaporative cooling systems, a separate dedicated review is produced covering cooling towers and evaporative condensers, storage tanks, softeners, dosing equipment, filters, strainers, pumps, distribution pipework and chillers.
